Faithful to our mission to provide adherents under our system with an excellent and consistent level of service, we at MedNet Liban launched the Snapshot of Healthcare Record. This initiative aims at improving communication between the patient and the treating physician by providing the latter with any useful medical information available to MedNet Liban.

The Snapshot of Healthcare Record, which was adopted as of October 2002, is a comprehensive medical record mentioning any hospitalization, drugs administration, medical examinations, and ambulatory tests.

One of the most important characteristics of the Snapshot of Healthcare Record is medical confidentiality. When sent to the treating physician for his/her information and action, it is sealed and addressed to the concerned physician. Another feature of this record is the use of standard codes as per the International Classification of Diseases thus ensuring the proper interpretation of the patient’s medical information regardless of the place where the care is provided or the professional who is giving it. 

On the long term, it is hoped that this pioneering project will pave the way to adopt and apply, in Lebanon, the shared Medical File that will guarantee any patient anywhere an excellent level of care with consideration to his/her medical history.

These initiatives fall under MedNet's commitement to cooperate with caregivers in order to help medical institutions and bodies accomplish their mission and provide the insured population with better healthcare.
